Carob Chip Brownies
Carob is a nutritious substitution for chocolate, removing caffeine from favorite recipes and offering triple the amount of calcium. Enjoy these brownies at any time of day.
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease or spray an 8x8" inch pan
  3. With a mixer, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time.
  5. Stir in yogurt.
  6. Add flour, carob and baking powder; blending until smooth. Fold in carob chips.
  7. Spread batter evenly into greased pan.
  8. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  10. Cool completely in pan.
  11. Cut into squares.
